Salvatorian Missions

We, the Salvatorians have received from our Founder the task to never rest content until all people know, accept, and love Christ. Salvatorians are called to proclaim the Good News of salvation to all, without distinction. And so we are called to continuously open and search new horizons, also geographically, in order to spread and proclaim Christ the Saviour. In the last 20 years the Society established its presence in many new countries. Most of those countries could be called “mission” countries, although some are in traditionally Catholic areas.

Countries of our missionary apostolates

Albania | Belarus | Cameroon | Comoros | Congo | Guatemala | India | Mexico

Mozambique | Philippines | Suriname | Tanzania | Taiwan | Ukraine | Venezuela

The general mission secretary, on behalf of the generalate, oversees the expansion, the new foundations, the missionary efforts of the Society, including financing. Since the Society finds itself in a period of renewed expansion, the need for new forms of fundraising is obvious.

In 2008 the generalate opened a fundraising office SOFIA (Salvatorian Office for International Aid), based in Rome, but operating all through Europe, in order to help finance the expansion efforts of the Society as well as new apostolates and initiatives in the foundations.

Through our Salvatorian work and apostolates in Australia we support spiritually and financially our brothers working in these missionary countries.
