First Lay Salvatorians in AU

On Wednesday 8th December 2010 the Solemnity of  the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, two Salvatorian Collaborator Leaders, Anne Cullender and Augustine Lai made their commitment to become the first ever members of the International Community of the Divine Saviour in the Australian Region.

All available Salvaorian priests from across Australia were together for this special occasion and were there on the altar to concelebrate the Mass and renew their religious vows.
Over 200 family members, friends and Collaborators were at St Anthony’s Church Greenmount to support both Anne and Augustine. Three Collaborator Leaders from Sydney travelled 3000 Kilometres to be there to share in the celebration.
Father Karol Kulcycki  (Regional Superior of Salvatorians in Australia) was the main celebrant assisted by Father Adam Babinski (Parish Priest of Greenmount) and Father Leonard Macionczyk (Director of Collaborators and Lay Salvatorians).
At the conclusion of Mass, all present were invited to share a light supper in the church hall to continue the celebration into the evening.

Founder's thoughts

The Divine Savior, in His great mercy, has called us to become images of himself, as far as possible. He has called us so that, through holiness our work everywhere may be accompanied by blessings, happiness, and salvation.
